The Lifestyle Travel Club is a lifestyle and travel brand by Emirates Information. It brings together people who want to experience destinations beyond the ordinary.
It combines curated journeys, private getaways and distinctive places. In addition, its boutique collection draws inspiration from their landscapes and lifestyles.
The club spans oasis retreats in the UAE and desert journeys. It also includes experiences at sea and Mediterranean Riviera escapes. Each world brings travel, place and lifestyle together in its own way.
I personally select every destination within the Lifestyle Travel Club. Each reflects a place I know, have explored and feel connected to. For example, these include UAE oases, desert landscapes, Rajasthan and the Mediterranean. For me, they are more than destinations on a map. That is why I want to share a more personal way to experience them.
Oasis
The Oasis Getaway – Al Dhaid
From Dubai speed to oasis time.
Al Dhaid is a place I know personally and one of my favourite landscapes in the UAE. Palm groves, oasis scenery and desert roads reveal a different side of the Emirates. Meanwhile, the nearby Hajar foothills provide a striking backdrop. That is why I wanted to bring Al Dhaid into the Lifestyle Travel Club.
I envision the Oasis Getaway as a private retreat in this remarkable landscape. Here, you can slow down, enjoy the surroundings and discover a quieter side of the UAE.
For selected stays, we also envisage private catering or a private chef. These options depend on availability and individual arrangements.
The journey is part of the concept. It could begin with an Etihad Rail trip from Dubai to Al Dhaid, subject to service availability. Afterwards, a classic Land Rover could take you into the oasis, depending on local arrangements.
The Oasis Getaway offers UAE residents the concept of an exceptional weekend escape. It also offers international business travellers a place to unwind after an intensive Market & Location Assessment. Leave business decisions and the fast pace of Dubai behind for a while. Enjoy privacy, nature and the quieter rhythm of the Emirates.
We also plan to weave the Oasis Collection into the experience. For example, a signature Weekender, pool towels, robes and accessories will reflect the colours of the oasis.

The Rajasthan Desert Journey
From the elegance of Delhi to the golden landscapes of the Thar Desert.
Rajasthan is a part of India I know personally. My travels took me through Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Pushkar and the Thar Desert. Since then, I have returned to these landscapes in my mind many times.
First, the journey begins in New Delhi at one of my personal favourites: The Imperial New Delhi. This hotel once welcomed me with the words “Welcome back home.”
Discover the elegant avenues of Lutyens’ Delhi and Chanakyapuri. Afterwards, stroll through Lodhi Garden. Along the way, enjoy outstanding Indian cuisine and the exceptional hospitality of the country’s leading hotels.
Explore Delhi privately with a chauffeur in one of India’s most iconic classics – the Hindustan Ambassador. I travelled through Rajasthan in one of these cars myself. Even today, it remains one of my favourite ways to experience India. You travel privately, comfortably and at your own pace.

Beyond Delhi, the landscape changes and another India begins to unfold.
Explore Bikaner, Jaisalmer and the Thar Desert, including magnificent forts, historic havelis and old trading towns. Along the way, discover traditional craftsmanship, textiles and Rajasthan’s extraordinary colours and flavours.
The havelis are an essential part of the journey. Their courtyards, carved façades and rooftop terraces tell the stories of local merchants and families. These communities shaped Rajasthan’s historic desert cities. In turn, carefully selected heritage stays bring their world to life beyond conventional tourism.

SEA — The Arabian Sea Journey
Mumbai is a place I know personally. I selected it for the SEA experience because of my connection with the city, India and the Arabian Sea.
Before moving to Dubai, I stayed at the legendary Taj Mahal Palace. My room overlooked what felt like the largest horizon I had ever seen.
I recommend Mumbai for its extraordinary energy, history and location by the sea. But there is another reason.
Mumbai feels like a city made for new chapters. As the home of Bollywood, it also has something naturally cinematic about it.
It is a place of ambition, reinvention and contrasts. And sometimes, it comes with a rather dramatic change of plot.

The sea creates a feeling of almost infinite possibility. In that sense, it has much in common with the desert.
There are no obvious boundaries. There is only distance, direction and the feeling that something new may be waiting beyond the horizon.

At the other end lies Mumbai.
My own story came with exactly the kind of plot twist one might expect from a Bollywood script.
I had travelled to India intending to stay. Instead, I was told that my next destination would be Dubai.
The way for that move was prepared for me in India.
Before leaving, I spent several days at the Taj Mahal Palace overlooking the Arabian Sea.
I could not have known what was waiting beyond that horizon. Dubai became the beginning of an entirely new chapter in my life.
That experience became part of the inspiration for SEA.
Every traveller will have a different story. Yet Mumbai is a wonderful place to imagine a new one.
Perhaps it might even be the place to begin it.
The Experience
The Arabian Sea Journey is conceived as a private maritime experience between the UAE and Mumbai.
Each journey can be individually curated.
It may combine time at sea with selected destinations and exceptional hospitality.
Private cultural experiences and a stay in Mumbai can also become part of the journey.

The Mediterranean Summer Escape
Your summer break begins with the journey.
When the summer months bring intense heat to the UAE, the Mediterranean offers a refreshing change of climate, scenery and lifestyle.
The Mediterranean is one of my favourite regions during the summer and a part of the world I know personally from many years of travelling. Its beautiful coastlines, charming towns and relaxed summer atmosphere have drawn me back many times.
Having also travelled through Oman and visited Alexandria and Luxor in Egypt, I wanted to connect these different worlds through a summer yacht journey from the Gulf to the Mediterranean.
That is why I brought The Mediterranean Summer Escape into the Lifestyle Travel Club.
From the Gulf to the Mediterranean
The summer yacht journey begins in the UAE and continues along the coast of Oman.
Muscat offers the first stop along the journey. Oman’s capital combines a beautiful coastal setting with traditional Arabian architecture, maritime heritage and a distinctive atmosphere.
Further south, Salalah provides a fascinating contrast to the summer heat of the UAE.
During the Khareef season, cooler temperatures, mist-covered mountains and lush green landscapes transform the Dhofar region into an unexpected summer destination on the Arabian Peninsula.
From Salalah, the journey continues towards the Gulf of Aden and into the Red Sea.
A planned stop in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, introduces another fascinating coastal city and provides an opportunity for yacht provisioning and refuelling, subject to suitable port arrangements.
From Jeddah, the route continues north through the Red Sea and Suez Canal into the Mediterranean.
Alexandria — Where East Meets West
Alexandria, on Egypt’s northern coast, is the first Mediterranean destination.
For centuries, Alexandria has connected Egypt with the Mediterranean world. Its historic harbour, maritime heritage and distinctive atmosphere reflect the city’s position between Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
From Alexandria, guests may choose an optional private excursion to Siwa Oasis, known for its palm groves, desert landscapes and traditional oasis culture.
Luxor may also be arranged as an optional cultural extension for guests interested in ancient Egyptian history, temples and monuments.
Across the Mediterranean to Genoa
After Alexandria, the planned journey continues to Piraeus, the port of Athens, offering an opportunity to discover Greece’s capital and its remarkable cultural heritage.
Athens combines ancient history with contemporary Mediterranean life, making it an appealing stop before the final passage towards Italy.
From Greece, the yacht continues west across the Mediterranean towards Genoa, the final destination of the summer voyage.
Genoa combines maritime history, impressive architecture and the atmosphere of an authentic Italian port city.
It also provides a gateway to the Italian and French Riviera.
From here, guests can continue their summer holidays independently, exploring destinations along the Ligurian coast and the Côte d’Azur.

Travel Planning & Maritime Safety
The Mediterranean Summer Escape is a proposed summer yacht journey currently in development.
The planned route connects the UAE, Muscat, Salalah, Jeddah, Alexandria, Piraeus (Athens) and Genoa, travelling through the Red Sea and Suez Canal.
The next stage is to assess the route with an experienced yacht operator, including vessel suitability, sailing distances, fuel requirements, port arrangements and estimated journey duration.
Particular attention will be given to maritime security in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea, as well as summer weather and sea conditions along the route.
The journey will only be offered once the route has been assessed as safe and operationally feasible.
For travellers who believe the summer should begin long before they arrive.

My connection with SEA goes beyond India and the UAE.
Between my time in the Emirates, I also worked as a Purser on an ocean-going cruise ship.
Life at sea gave me another perspective on travel.
