January 1 – New Year’s Day
Every year the UAE joins the global party with fireworks and parties.
April 3 – Al Isra’a Wal Mi’raj – Ascension Day
It is an Islamic holiday, which marks Prophet Mohammad’s journey to heaven.
May 24 – Eid Al Fitr
Eid Al Fitr begins automatically after the last day of Ramadan. It is the festival of breaking the fast.
July 29 – Arafat Day
Arafat Day is the second day of the haj pilgrimage.
July 30 – Eid Al Adha
Eid Al Adha is the festival of sacrifice.
August 19 – Al Hijri
Al Hijri is the Islamic New Year.
October 28 – Milad Al Nabi
It’s Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday.
December 1 – Martyr’s Day
Its a public holiday to honour Emiratis who have died for their country.
December 2 – UAE National Day
It will be UAEs 49th Birthday.
All of these holidays are subject to change, when the ministry confirms the dates.
